Members of German Parliament visit GIZ India Energy Cluster

On 18 February 2020, the German Parliamentary Committee on economic affairs and energy visited the GIZ office in Safdarjung Enclave for a briefing on the work of GIZ India and the GIZ Energy cluster in particular. The members of parliament were informed about the work of GIZ India by country director Dr. Ulrike Reviere before the head of the GIZ Energy cluster Dr. Winfried Damm, Sandra Soares (KfW), Markus Wypior (GIZ), and Tobias Winter (IGEF-SO), updated them on the state of affairs and trends in the Indian energy sector. Topics included for example the successful tender for 1.2 GW renewables including storage. After the briefing, the fruitful discussions continued during a networking reception. The head of the parliamentary committee thanked GIZ India and IGEF for their “excellent work”.
