From 15-17 September 2021, the 14th Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo took place and provided a platform to facilitate the dialogue between actors and stakeholders within the sector of Renewable Energies in India. This year, the fair was held in a hybrid format and focused on RE technologies, bringing together experts under the motto “Let’s Reconncet and Rebound”. In cooperation with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), the IGEF-SO organised a virtual German Pavilion at which more than 45 German companies and associations were represented.

The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and by the German Ambassador to India, H.E. Walter Lindner. In his speech, Ambassador Lindner highlighted the over a decade-long collaboration between India and Germany in the energy sector and especially in the solar energy market. On that same note, he pointed out that there are still many milestones to be reached by both countries in their transformation journey to achieve a clean and renewable energy supply in accordance with their climate strategies. Overall, the three days of the fair fostered a fruitful exchange among national and international experts from the field of Renewable Energies.
