The Indo-German Energy Forum Support Office (IGEF-SO) organized an exclusive B2G Roundtable at the Intersolar Europe in Munich on 20^th June 2018. Present at the event were inter alia government representatives from the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The selected participants had the opportunity to directly address the government officials and to bring their concerns directly into the political dialogue.

Dr. Martin Schoepe, Head of Division International Energy Cooperation, Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), Government of Germany and Mr. Shri G. K. Gupta, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India opened the meeting with welcome address for all participants.

Mr. Pranav Mehta, Managing Director & Chairman of National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and Chairman Elect of the Global Solar Council (GSC) and Mr. Jan Michael Knaack, Senior Project Manager International Affairs & Research Policy, Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft (BSW) opened the discussion round on challenges and opportunities for renewable energy businesses in India and the potential for support by the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF). The following input and feedback round resulted in a lively exchange about future initiatives between the Government representatives and the business representatives.
