Local Business Advisory Council Meeting on Green Hydrogen

During the 9th Energy Day at The smarter E India / Intersolar India 2022, the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF-SO) in collaboration with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) organised a local business council on 7th December in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The session was moderated by Dr. Nicole Glanemann, Deputy Head at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The welcome remarks were given by Ms. Shivani Chaturvedi, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

The objective of the meeting was to provide German businesses with the opportunity to engage in direct one-on-one discussions with policymakers. This interaction enables private businesses to discuss challenges they are facing and how their daily business could be facilitated. At the same time, it helps representatives of the German government to recognise what kind of policies are hindering the companies to undertake business in order to accelerate the energy transition and what regulations may be problematic for them.

The business council was attended by more than 20 representatives of private companies as well as representatives of public bodies of the German government.
