The Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) organised a session “Business Opportunities for AgriPV in India” on 11 June 2022 within the trade fair and conference RenewX 2022 in Hyderabad. The session brought people from the agriculture and solar community together to give inspiration about AgriPV and its opportunities in India. 

The session was moderated by Mr. Anil Kumar Bellary, Co-Director, IGEF. Mr. Surindar Ahuja, Director, Sunmaster, said, It is often considered that Agrivoltaics is unsuccessful but I really want to remove the myth and change the mindset briefing on the positive aspects of Agrivoltaics.

Over the next 5 years, the availability of land is likely to become a major issue. Agrivoltaic solutions integrate agriculture & photovoltaics to provide a long-term sustainable solution to our energy security, said Mr. Shravan Sampath, CEO, Oakridge Energy.

Solar can help farmers become bigger entrepreneurs by enabling precision farming, said Mr. Nimish Prabhukhanolkar, Partner & Chief Technical Officer, Sunseed APV.
