Knowledge Session: Decentralised Green Hydrogen Production

On 2 June 2021 Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) jointly organised a virtual knowledge session on “Decentralised Green Hydrogen Production”. Dr. Nicole Glanemann, Deputy Head of the Division for Bilateral Energy Cooperation of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) inaugurated the session. Experts from NOW GmbH, Enapter GmbH and SFC Energy AG presented different innovative use cases. Among them, Enapter GmbH explained scalable electrolyser technologies for residential and commercial clients. NOW GmbH elaborated on the potential of fuel cell technology and the different funding schemes available for decentralized hydrogen production. Also, the replacement of diesel gensets by green hydrogen applications was discussed. SFC Energy AG pointed out that 9.000 litres of Diesel can be replaced with less than 400 litres of Methanol per year using fuel cell technology. There was great interest in the session and in total 313 people participated.

Recordings of all the presentations are available here.
